Matriux - Security Distribution for Ethical Hackers and Penetration Testers

The Matriux (http://www.matriux.com/) is a phenomenon that was waiting to happen. It is a fully featured security distribution consisting of a bunch of powerful, open source and free tools that can be used for various purposes including, but not limited to, penetration testing, ethical hacking, system and network administration, cyber forensics investigations, security testing, vulnerability analysis, and much more. It is a distribution designed for security enthusiasts and professionals, although it can be used normally as your default desktop system.

Matriux is currently under development and the first beta version is available for download now. The current dowload version does not contain all of the tools listed under Arsenal section. However, the team will be adding more tools in the coming days / releases and update.

Seria algo parecido com o Backtrack mas sem as funções de administração...Alguém aqui testou? irei criar uma virtual e dar uma checada. Insiro minhas impressões mais tarde editando este post.

Testei numa VM e posso dizer que é uma coleção muito boa de ferramentas para pentest e afins.

Ainda sinto falta dessas ferramentas terem uma interface mais amigável para conduzir o teste de acordo com uma metodologia (como a OSSTMM (http://www.isecom.org/osstmm/)), mas, nem tudo é perfeito :).

A coleção é muito boa e, apesar de os idealizadores da Matriux dizerem que não estão para concorrer com o Backtrack (http://forum.matriux.com/index.php?topic=438.msg464#msg464) acho que este conjunto vem para ocupar um lugar ao sol na área de distros. de Segurança :).
